How can I enable/disable or block caller ID? How is caller ID handled?

Caller ID cannot be blocked or disabled.

If you don't have US or International Virtual Phone Number to receive calls, when you place calls the system will send your account number such as "5551231234" as the number the call was placed from, or as an "anonymous number"

Although other VoIPVoIP customers can call you back with your account number, it is not reachable from regular (PSTN) phones

If you have a Virtual Phone Number to receive calls, when you place calls the system will send your Virtual Phone Number, as the number the call was placed from. If you have both US and International Virtual Phone Numbers, then your US Virtual Phone Number will be sent as your Caller ID.

If you are using SIP trunking service and need to show your PSTN phone number as your Caller ID please login to your account and open a ticket from Help Desk.

We can not guarantee Caller ID. If the callees phone number provider looks to associate the DID with a Name, the CID will probably be displayed as UnKnown, No Data, or just blank. It is also possible that your Caller ID might be shown as your VoIPVoIP acocunt number starting with 555 (e.g. 5551231234)
